Created using a percentage of in-house recycled content, giving polythene that has already served its purpose another cycle.

Armourthene® “REGENERATE Recycle” can have any percentage of in-house recycled polymer. Most commonly supplied at 30%, 50% or 100%, offering a great cost saving as well as reducing waste going to landfill by giving polythene a 2nd life and improving your carbon footprint.

PROS

  • SAVING: Lower unit cost

  • ECO: Less polythene going to landfill

  • ECO: 100% recyclable

  • TAX: Can Avoid UK Plastic Packaging Tax

Compostable products are created using natural materials such as starch, which fully decomposes into compost in the right conditions without creating any toxic residue as they break down.

Pros

  • ECO: Adheres to many guidelines

  • ECO: Decomposes into “compost”

  • ECO: Does not produce toxic residue

  • LIFESPAN: Can take years to degrade in storage

Armourthene® Degradable products can be made as either Bio-Degradable or Compostable

Bio-Degradable products break down naturally into miniscule pieces of plastic over time by microorganisms such as bacteria and fungi. It also depends largely on the environment it is housed in (temperature, humidity…etc).

Pros

  • ECO: Adheres to many guidelines

  • LIFESPAN: Can take years to degrade in storage

Cons

  • ECO: Not recyclable

  • ECO: Still emits greenhouse emissions

  • COST: Higher unit price
